A huge thank you for those who joined us this past Sunday Aug 15th at the beautifully curated Asia Society Hong Kong (ASHK) for our first ever Children’s Day for the Arts.
We had an amazing experience hearing all the giggles and laughter, seeing the energy and excitement of the children as they danced, and watching as they were captivated in the storytelling and creating variations of the story in their own way. See our photo slide from the day below.
Baumhaus and Little Monkey absolutely love hosting events like this where we are able to provide opportunity for fun activities for children and parents to enjoy – in this case, an introduction to the arts that families can embed into their daily life. This is what we strive to do for our community, to provide the channel for child learning, growth and fun, while fostering parent and child bonding in the process. A place where kids can be kids again and parenthood becomes relaxing and more enjoyable.
Thank you to ASHK for hosting this special event and giving us access to the available spaces. We hope all parents take advantage of this hidden gem (ASHK) in Hong Kong to explore the different programs they have to offer for children.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to Pathfinder Hong Kong who is the only Hong Kong charity dedicated to supporting the unique vulnerabilities of children born to migrant mothers. So, thank you to all the families who attended for your support!
And finally, but not least, we couldn’t have pulled off such a successful event without the help of our partners who donated their time and resources to show the kids the different types of interactive arts. If you like to learn more about the partners we had on Sunday, please click on their profile below:
- Elephant Community Press’ founder Christine Choi showed us how storytelling can spur the imagination of a young child. Check out their project-based workshops that support students 4 and up to read, think, and grow as a writer.
- Happy Baton’s play area lets our little ones play with sustainable toys that stimulate their core development areas. Check out their toy rental subscription.
- Dance for Joy had their students as performers to show us how high energy dance can be fun and empowering. Visit their website to check out their dance workshops for children 2 and up.
- Fairchild’s early learning teachers helped the children cultivate their curiosity, creativity, and confidence with the visual art stations. Check out their playground and kindergarten to see if it’s right for your child.
As always, keep following us and watch out for our newsletter as we announce upcoming events and projects!
