Took the bub to see his first movie at the cinema and ended up staying at D Park for most of the afternoon. Lots of little kid-friendly activity areas set up, including trampolines, balance bikes, toddler racing cars, outdoor playing equipment (including whale garden) and since it was World Cup time, giant football.
Great place to retreat to in summer when you need some air conditioning but still need to entertain the little ones. Would just say the “kid-friendly” cinema was a tad disappointing. Apart from the colourful extra-long seats at the front of the auditorium and the 2 small play areas, it wasn’t particularly exciting for the little ones. Also found it strange that before the film, they showed a rather age-inappropriate announcement re remaining quiet during the movie that involved guns and shooting.
DPark is huge mall with a ton of kids activities both indoors and outdoors some which are free and others which require an entrance fee. Its easily accessible via MTR on the last stop in Tsuen Wan and take exit A3 and follow the signs to the mall. The walkway is fully covered hence a good choice for a rainy day as well and very accessible with lift for strollers too. While many restaurants do not have a kids menu or seating for children (ie baby seat or high chairs) you can still see many parents and their kids dine in at the restaurant which all appear to be super accomodating to kids.
D.Park may be very far from us, but it’s always worth the travel. Definitely a kid-friendly mall as it’s meant for them. You can spend the whole day here without worrying if it’s stroller -friendly, where to eat as you have picky eaters, where to nurse, change or play, because all of these concerns are addressed in D.Park.
While there are fees for some play areas/activities, there are still other areas that are free where kids can play and enjoy. The big play area in the center gets cleaned every after few hours. This is a plus point for them.
It’s nice that they also have locker service. It’s located near the changing/nursing rooms.
We’ve been there twice but haven’t tried all the activities/facilities for kids. Something to look forward to in the future, especially the cinema for kids.
