This place was an absolute rip-off. It was our first visit to this place and it will be our last time. They charged us $320 for each child who MUST be accompanied by an adult, who must pay $160 per adult. Don’t go in expecting you get to experience this “dream” with your children. Adults are not allowed to participate, and yet, somehow, you are forced to pay an “entrance” fee to be in there physically as adults must accompany children. That means you will be stuck there for hours sitting around having nothing to do, trying to peek through the purposely shielded windows of the exhibitions, wondering what your child is doing inside and getting worked up at the fact you can’t be experiencing this amazing experience with your child and have to be ripped off for this situation.
Photo opportunities – The only time you can take a photo is when your child is allowed to go outside in their costumes/uniforms just for one photo opportunity and then they will have to go back inside their booths. There are some rare moments where you get to see what they are doing if your child chose to be a firefighter or a fashion model as they have to come out and be in action. In those cases, that’s the only time you will be able to take photos of your child in action as those professions. If you want the photos (of your child in action during those fun times you don’t get to see) taken by the photographer hired by the company, then be prepared to fork out $490 for 6 photos in hardcopies only, or $1480 for all the photos in digital plus an album and a bunch of plastic junk no one needs. And no, they are not flexible about their offerings, meaning they do not provide digital copies only, you MUST purchase the bundle with the plastic junk if you really want all digital copies.
We tried to provide feedback in hopes for them to improve as our experience was absolutely disappointing, they gave us a huge amount of excuses for their ridiculous business model such as – comparing themselves to similar businesses in Japan and Taiwan, saying they are doing the same thing hence they just copied (but note: they are not a franchise, the manager admitted they have the flexibility to do better as they have no obligation to comply with any guidelines in terms of their business model). For their ridiculous price for photos, their excuse was that photo studios charge way more than their prices (which is absolutely irrelevant as they are not a photo studio, and we didn’t go there for a photoshoot). The list of their excuses to not improve goes on and on, but I’ll save you the trouble of being ripped off. Save this place for school activities as they cater much better for the schools instead of individual families. Just don’t go with high hopes the whole family will have fun. Your child will have fun, you will be miserable outside waiting as the whole waiting experience is approximately 3.5 hours in total. Their simulations only run for around 30 minutes or so per profession and it is no different from dressing up in costumes and going into a playroom for pretend play. Don’t have high hopes your child will learn much from this experience either as the staff leading the stimulations were unenthusiastic and were just following some script and set activities without much care really.
All in all, I wouldn’t suggest this place for anyone to go to as it is all the way inside terminal 2 at the airport. The effort to go all the way there and the time wasted sitting outside of each booth while having no idea what your child is doing inside is just not worth it. I hope this review will give everyone a better idea of what to expect for this experience, as I will probably feel differently should I have known this in advance.
