This library has a really nice “toy library”, ie a playroom which is free to use if you are a library member, and joining the library is free. You can book one 45 minute slot per day, which isn’t that long, but at least it’s fair, and provides something to do when the weather isn’t suitable for the park. If subsequent slots are not full, the child can sign up for another session. Outside the play room there is a kids’ library, which can provide at least another hour of amusement! This is a great resource in the Tin Hau/CWB area!
I love it there. It’s an easy option if you just want to bring your kids to a quiet reading relaxing weekend, with AC. They have a toys room which is good for young babies but you need to book 6 days ahead. You could also try walk in. Chances are higher during the week. Enjoy

We are frequent visitor of the toy library. Reservation is opened 6 days in advance. From my expetinece, weekend afternoon slots are out on the first day the reservation is open. So plan ahead if you want to go on a weekend. But because of this system, the playroom tends to be still quite spacious even on the full booking slot. Don’t just play the facilities there, borrow toys from the counter. There are more than thousands of choices. You can either look at the catalogs in the room or ask the staffs for advices. They are very helpful.
There is a changing room next to the playroom. Very well equipped. It even has hot water provided.
The child library outside is also amazing. Probably has the wider selection in Hong Kong. My kids would spend at least another 45 mins there to read books and then choose a few to borrow home.
Our favourite indoor place in Causeway Bay. They have recently upgraded the toy library with many toys and new themes every month. 45min is unfortunately quite short and we always need to book in advance, but we have never had any problem coming in the morning. As kids are allowed to be accompanied by 2 adults, it can easily be crowded though, especially on weekends. The library itself is a great place for kids: very big with many choices of books and seats.
The toy library and the library is fantastic. If you don’t go early enough you will have to wait for the toy library. It is very fun and quiet in the morning hours!
