It’s hard to find a more child friendly place than Discovery Bay. Zak’s is very close to the pier/South Plaza and a short walk to the beach so it’s an ideal place for beach-going and other visitors. There is an area just by the restaurant where all the kids seem to congregate and it’s quite safe to let older kids play there by themselves. There is a decent menu for kids and for the adults the wine measures are generous!
If you are from Discovery Bay then awesome place to be with friendly staff, open space and beach and fireworks. If not from Discovery Bay this is quite a trek despite one can qualify for a free ferry trip
